How much do target retrievers cost?

The club I just joined has no motorized target retrievers in its indoor 25m handgun range. Just wondering what the approximate capital cost would be of installing 8 lanes worth of target retrievers, assuming volunteers installed them?

I'd expect about 1.5K per lane for materials, and then probably 4-6 hours per lane for install, plus any additional modifications to the roof and load bearing structures.

ok fabricate your own if someone has the skill, likely wont be as pretty as the pro ones but would get the job done

Does your range not use them do to other shooting disaplines there?
IPSC, Cowboy etc?

Kind of depends on the style. Individual lane retrievers will cost more than one for all 8.
Mancom is Canadian. Have a look at their Lynx system and build one.

Anyone ever try rigging up something cheap and unmotorized that you crank by hand?

as said if you or someone else there has some skills, then build your own. the way i would go about it would be the following.

garage door style motor, lots of chain, some relays and some switches to stop the motor when it hits the back and the front, and a switch for the user.
