How much do you pay to butcher your deer?

Cut and wrap is $60 per deer regardless of size. Sausage is extra. I forget the price for sausage but it's very reasonable and excellent. I'm getting 40 lbs. of sausage this year.

Dunno how much meat it's going to be but I'm going to the butcher's this afternoon to pick up my harvest from a young mulie buck I took a couple of weeks ago (first one I've ever taken, to boot). Roasts, chops, and the rest sausage. Fellow told me a few minutes ago that it'll be about $120 and I know from some meat that a friend gave me last year that the guy does an excellent job.

Venison, chili sauce, and scalloped potatoes for dinner tonight! Now if I could just quit drooling for the rest of the day.

Nothing, I do it myself. I can bone out a deer faster than I can load, haul and fill out the forms at the butcher, and I don't have to go back for it later. I did drop off 4 carcasses for a friend and was suprised to find that that cutter even had a $20 charge to throw away the bones. The coyotes don't charge me anything.:D

I pay 45$ a deer regardless of size by an amzing butcher!! Just toook him 3 more yesterday.. His name is Eric Miron he can be reached at 613 489 0811 He is 3km south of the kars general store and his work is top notch! 2$lb extra for sausage but i do my own!

My guy charges $65/ deer up to 100lbs then it's .65/lb for the rest. He charges around $ 2.65/lb for sausage. He hangs the deer for a minimum of 5 days He takes care of the skinning (included in the price). He butchers it exactly how you want. Steak, roasts, minced meat... When you pick up your meat everything is in separate boxes (1 or two hunters) and it is all frozen in vacuum sealed bags. You can even request to be there when they butcher it for you. You can assist if you like. Top notch operation. last year he handled over 2500 deer.

Cost me $150 for a 280lb (cleaned) moose.

No sausage, not much ground meat, but totally deboned, except for t-bones and ribs, and 50+ lbs of canning meat (that's a bit labour intense). On styrofoam/plastic wrap trays.

I pay $40 per deer (100lb-250lb. don't matter) cut & wrapped (roasts, chops, steaks, burger), some of you guys pay way too much!!! If I want any of that made into sausage/pepperetes, I then pay $2/lb for sausage or $3/lb for pepperettes (smoked) but they are awesome! Just got 30lbs mild pepperettes and 30 lbs of sausage half mild italian/ half honey garlic. MMMMMMMMM good.

Wow! You made me drool!^^^^^^^^^

I butcher my own game so the only comment is I just paid 37¢ for a half of beef. I'm sure game would be a bit higher, as the equipment would have to be cleaned before going back to domestic meats.
