How much do you spend on ammo a year?

I just thought I would see what the average shooter spends on ammo in a year. List all calibres too.

I spend roughly $1500 a year USD on .45 ammo. I'm at the range probably 4 or 5 days a month and shoot at least 100 rounds each time. I shoot probably 4 bricks of .22's as well and they run about $11.00 a brick.

I have never really tallied a total but easilly $2500. .45, 44 mag, 9mm, .223 and the numerous bricks of .22

12ga: 500 rnds = ~$200
22lr = about 5 bricks = ~$60

Doesn't seem like much, but considering my budget is 100% devoted to school, it's way more than I should be able to afford....

TOTALS 72 000 per year


And I know guys that shoot 90 to 130 thousand per year
