How much does your trap gun weigh?

Hi everyone,

So how much does your trap gun weigh? Do you think it's too heavy, too light, or just right? If you had to do it again, would you go heavier or lighter?

According to the Browning website mine weighs 9lbs 2 oz. I have a 32" barreled Citori XT Gold Trap. Is it too heavy? Not IMO. I like a heavy trap gun, they absorb recoil better. If I was changing guns out I would try to stay over the 8 lb mark, that's just my preference.

If you are a good sized guy heavier is better in my opinion. Mine favorite is around 11lbs. Or a tad more!

Wow! I'm having a hard time convincing myself that an 8.9lb gun is not too heavy.

My Citori Plus was 9 1/2 and it felt just right to me.

I've never weighed it, but it is balanced at the hinge. I guess that it weighs around 10 lb. I added a weight to the single barrel to have it balance at the hinge. Here is what the gun looks like.

OMG!!! I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS!!!! Now that is a "K" gun worth owning!!!



Here is mine........it's balanced on the hinge of my wallet. I have about half of what it was worth new invested in it ..............that was a MAJOR balancing point for me.

My 1100 competition I just purchased is a heavy 8 if not 9 pounds. I'm used to shooting a 6+ pound gun so it'll take some time getting used to it for sure.
