$20 at Canadian Tire (100pc). Should I wait and pick them up somewhere else (I'm going to buy lots)...

Also, do I need the hand thrower or a mechanical launcher or can I just frisbee toss them with my bare hands like Tom Knapp? We'll be shooting these in the sand pit for practice, so nothing formal required.

Thanks!

Go to a local gun club and buy them there, they purchase volume and would probably sell you a case for a fraction of the cost. As for throwing, buy a cheap hand thrower and start chucking! Have fun!

^^^^^^

As mentioned above, but you could also, pick up the ones that did not break, whenever I am at the range, I always take a sweep of the area, and can pickup up anywhere from 50 to 100 clays, that have not been broken, great way to extend your day of practice.....

My wife bought me one of the Trius One Step throwers, it's awesome! besides having crap assembly instructions, it works perfect for throwing singles or doubles. I have never had a single one break on throwing.
I buy my clays @ LeBarons, I think I paid $17 for 115 or something like that.
I also walk around after and pick up the non broken ones and blast em again. (There are usually lots, cause my wife hasn't mastered her 20 gauge yet ;))

In Ottawa go to Le Barons. I picked up two cases for 18 or 19 bucks plus taxes - not sure exactly for 135 in each case. Got a hand thrower there for 20 bucks as well. You'll have a blast.

Ya I live close to lawry's manufacturing spot in Calendonia, ON and you can buy right off them bulk for a good price, or you can run across the border and goto wal-mart and only pay 10 bucks a box.

It is crazy how they are worth almost double in Canada.

Local gun club sells em to me at $10 a box

First time they told us that both mine and my buddies eyes lit up

we bought about a dozen boxes just in case they made a mistake and hadn't realized it

Not sure about the range youre going to shoot at, but last weekend I got half a box of clays for free, by walking the range after I was done. (might as well, they work the same as new ones)

I haven't seen them for less then $19.00 in Alberta, that's for 135 count box of White Flyers. I bought some in the states a year ago, they were US$11.00, this year they are US$15.00. Anyone paying $18.00 for 2 boxes, can't be getting 135 birds in a box. The days of $10.00 a box was 10 years ago.

The range i go to, Silverdale Gun Club sells them for $20 per 100 but im not sure if you have to shoot them there or if you can take them home with you.

If you feel like a drive, the Great Falls walmart sells a box of 100 for $9, and as far as I know there are no goofy import restrictions :)

CDN Tire has them for $18.99 for the 135 pack, Picked up 4 boxes in the states at ####'s in July for $6.99 per box each box had 90 in it. Great prices we have in Canada :canadaFlag:

The cheapest place to get them in Ottawa that I have found is Stittsville Shooting Range. $15 I think for the White Flyers. LeBarons has the Lawrys for a couple bux cheaper than CTC. The hand throwers work much better than trying to throw them like a frisbee. You can get the handthrower alot cheaper at LeBarons.

16 bucks at the local gun guys, CT is 20 bucks and if im in a pinch and everyone is closed Ill get em,muttering about wasted coffee money

Thanks, I might have take a ride down there. At least you cleared up some the questions on the cheap clays, not full size boxes.
