How much for brand new Springfield M14?

Springfield Armory M1A Standard...........$2,000.00 (Average)
Norinco M14S....................................$450.00 (Average)

Had my Norinco M14 for about five years/thousands of rounds thew with ZERO problems. Norinco's M14S kick-ass. I would still get an S.A. M1A, but only the super high-end models, such as the "White Feather"

half the fun of the m305 is in the tweaking. It is like the harley of weapons you can make it what you want. If you start with a springer your into 2 grand to start

if it's only recently, you need to investigate it- factory or surplus ammo, maybe the gas port dirty or out of alignment, - probably something simple if it hasn't done it right of the box- right out of the box, first thing i'd suspect is the mag

had a few Norc M14's & fired the Springfield M1A once & that was it for me on Norcs..
I don't care what people say but they are different dispite their identical look.

Just wondering how much for a brand new Springfield M14. If I order most of parts from US based on the current M305, will be cheaper or just worthless?

You can get it alot cheaper in the States. Check gunbroker.com, follow the links for international sales. There is a gunstore listed in Michigan, for $200 US he'll take care of all the paperwork (IE export permit). You're looking at around $15-1700. Much better than the $2100+ you'll pay here. You can try ar15.com, prices seem to be cheaper than gunbroker.

Spingfield Armory Inc. doesn't make an M14. They make a commercial, semi-auto only copy.
"...ordered some parts from US..." If they're M14 parts, the U.S. export permit is required.

Just somewhat don't trust "made in china" and want to pursue the accuracy as well. My M305 has some "jam" problem recently (can't load new cartridge after shot.)

Not trying to dissuade you in any way but in my experience (which is not especially great, but representative nonetheless) if you are interested in pursuing accuracy you are better off with the nork.

The springers I have shot have been less accurate than the norks. I do not believe my experience is unusual.

If you want a springer definitely get one. But putting the same money into a nork will result in a better gun.

Damn skippy.
What he said!

Once I get my M305 going with it's newly installed krieger barrel, it won't matter who made the receiver, Chinese or American, it will still shoot well. Even my original barrel shot 2 and a bit inch groups. Norinco M14's are on the whole good guns. Why are they sold out every where? Why won't many people sell theirs? Yep, they're good guns. :) Get yours ASAP! :D

I'd gladly own a Norinco. They are great. That being said, I owned a M1A supermatch in the late 80's. The stock supermatch kicked the crap out of any stock Norinco, (as it should for the price difference).
