Cool. But that stuff gives poor performance in BP guns.
Do u mind sharing that recipe?
I run my grndel on H335 but i have always loved H4895 and i have a fair bit.
The rifle is a Howa mini action with the 22" light barrel.
The best hunting load I have found for the rifle is 27.8 grains of H4895 pushing a 129 grain Nolser Accubond Long Range bullet. It runs them at just a bit over 2400fps in Hornaday brass, and 2450fps in Lapua brass. Both prefer that charge weight.
Has taken 3 deer, ranging from 15 - 200 yards, all one shot very fast kills. Have yet to recover a bullet, tiny entrance in, perfect wound channel with massive internal damage, quite a bit larger exit wound.

I run 28.3gr H335 behind a 115gr Tac TX. 2530fps
Three deer and two black bears so far.
All very dead.
I might try some H4895 loads with that bullet now and see.
Prolly not much faster but might lower the Sd.

H4895 might be a touch on the slow side for the 110 tac-tx, or is it 115 grain? I haven't heard of the 110 for the 6.5.
If accuracy is your number one goal in the Grendel, and you are shooting under 120 grain, I would give H322 a chance if you have some. A bit less velocity than all the ball powders, but extremely temp stable, and gives unreal SD numbers and accuracy.

The last black powder I bought was $17 pound for $25 pound case and thought that was crazy expensive. It was awhile ago. Have enough still but when it’s gone, I’ll start making my own if I can find the salt Peter.
