how much media?

I put in the cases, fill the container until it's 3/4" to 1" below the top rim with media, put in a Bounce dryer sheet cut into 8 pieces (attracts most of the dust that would otherwise be coating the cases), and then start it up. Has worked every time for me so far.

thats to do 100 .45 cases? how long do u let it run?

I don't reload pistol except 44 mag but that is the process I use to tumble any number of any cases. Whether it's 50 .308 or 150 .44 mag I use the same process. More cases just meant you'll need less media to get it up to the line. There is of course a maximum number of cases each size of tumble can do properly. If there is little to no tumbling action and it's just vibrating then you probably have too many cases or too little media (or both.)

For most cases that are fairly clean to start with and just need a little polishing and some carbon removal I'll tumble for 60-90 minutes. If the cases are quite dirty or slightly corroded I'll tumble for 2-3 hours. For heavily corroded cases I'll tumble for 3-6 hours depending (and check them closely after to make sure the corrosion didn't compromise the cases.)
