sask pretty close to the same. 12 to hunt with a parent or guardian and 16 to hunt on your own. Have to have hunter education certificate.

In ALberta,

After passing the Hunter Ed course, youngsters have to be

12 to hunt big game with a bow and birds with a shot gun.

14 to hunt big game with a centerfire.

In Ontario you need to take a coarse and then when you are at least 12 years old you can take both your firearms and your hunter safety test. After passing both test you can get your apprenticehunter card which allows you to hunt with an adult that has a full firearms license and also you can only carry 1 gun between the two of you.
