I rarely ever clean my guns. Is the chrome lining done by Ruach Tactical enough to prevent cleaning after shooting corrosive though a 858 for maybe 8-10 weeks at a time? I usually oil my guns after a range session, but that's about it.

1st of it's not chromed when you get it back & secondly it all depends on were you live. MEaning if you live in a verry wet and humidy place like say Vancouver, hell no but say you live in Saskatoon and it's the dead of winter maybe you can make it 6 weeks but 8 to 10 is denfenatly pushing it. Contact Ruach for his thoughts on this matter personaly.

The factory chrome lining in the restricted VZ is very resistant to the corrosive ammo, i know all of you are going to cringe when i say this but i didnt clean mine, honestly left it 4-5 months before i dug it out again, and the only place there was any corrosion was at the very end of the barrel where the compensator screws on, and it was fairly pitted there, the barrel and rifling was perfect yet, no corrosion in the gas system either, i was very impressed, ive been thinking about buying a non-res and sending it to rauch, i hope his finish stands up as well as this one

EDIT: its also stored in a safe in the basement on a 2x4 base on bare concrete floors, so its fairly humid, i have a dehumidifier running but it cant keep up

I dont clean my 858 I just spray it with wd40 never had any rust at all. ( and I know that doesnt answer your question=O)
