Hey guys, I recently turned 19 and I decided I would really like to acquire my PAL. Now I've done my research and it seems to be a pretty straight forward process to get the PAL but I cannot get any information on the RPAL. I think I read in some places that it's not even possible to get anymore. Is this true or have I been checking out some bad sources? I'd really appreciate if someone could inform me about this because I really would like to know every step of the process before I go for it. Thanks in advance guys.

It'd help to know where about you are from as some rules are slightly different in a few respects.
But in general - RPAL is still something one can get and since you are new to this, you should take Firearms Safety classes where whole process and most of the info you will need is presented. Process is pretty straight forward, but is time consuming in regards to getting that plastic card in your hands.

Okay, well if it makes any difference I'm located in near Toronto, Ontario. I will be looking to take the classes I need since I'm new to all this, I will look around if there are any Firearm Safety Classes I can take part it, thanks for your help.

Get your RPAL and PAL at the same time or at least apply for them at the same time. It saves a lot of extra work. They have the same paper work to apply for them.

Okay great, and I can probably google this but I'd like to ask anyway since you guys have had first hand experience but how much am I looking to spend for both the RPAL and PAL?

May vary from $150 to $200 for classes and exams and so on.
I can email you the books in PDF if you want, so you can start reading now.
Don't post your email here but rather PM it to me if you are interested.

PM sent, so are you saying that I must FIRST get my PAL and then apply for the RPAL after I've received the PAL?

If you are planning on owning a handgun in the near future, take the Restricted and non restricted at the same time and send it all in together at once. They will send you a RPAL.

No, you do both courses at the same time and take exams too and apply for BOTH at the same time after you get your exam score sheets.

Okay perfect, that's exactly what I was hoping to do. Thanks for all the info guys and I'll get studying as soon as you get a chance to send me those PDF's CeeZer. Let me know if you didn't get my email address in my PM. Thanks a lot.
