use the roller T handle that comes with the packs, insert and then peel back the can
Try needlenose vice grips to grab onto the tab and then roll it like you would with the special key "that you don't have".
May work. It may be a pain in the arse to get the vice grips free of all that rolled up metal as well.

If it's the spam can with a lip you can rub the top of the can against coarse cement outside, the top eventually comes off after 5/10 mins of rubbing.

Lol that's the method I used! Why oh why don't the dealers offer to sell the tool upon purchase.. I had no idea what I was in for leaving the store as I was more interested in my mosin! It would be an easy sale for them.
