How the heck do I mount this?

I purchased a Tikka T3 Lite and I am trying to mount a scope on it. It came with Optilock rings and bases. Rings, no problem, bases have two different base groove widths. The front base fits fine, the rear base, with the recoil lock, has a groove that is too small to fit the receiver. Any ideas?

This sounds familiar. Did they happen to give you Sako bases?

You have almost certainly been given the bases that fit the Sako rifles with tapered dovetails. The rings are the same but you will have to get the bases dedicated for the Tikka or Sako TRG. Phil.
