So I've got a JR carbine in .45 ACP.

The factory 10 rd mag is quite stiff and basically an 8 rd mag due to spring strength.

I bought a couple of 10/26 rd mags from GPTactical (great service), and they're even worse; I just about cut my thumb open twice on mag lips while loading four rounds and gave up in frustration. I've been loading rifle mags for 30 years without issues, but his pistol mag stuff is just retarded.

So, any tips or (God forbid) special tools needed to stuff ammo into these frikin monsters?

You need a mag loader. Google Uplula.

I initially had a lot of trouble with SIG magazines. Then I bought the miracle tool UpLula. It worked perfectly on the SIG double stacks and so should be OK for Glocks. I use mine now for 9mm and .45 ACP single stacks. I have another for my AR. Great product and available from many sources.

There are some handy mag loaders you can get, many new pistols seem to be sold with them. Basically it fits over the mag and presses the follower down enough that you can easily get a cartridge under the feed lips.

Once you try an Uplula you will understand why everyone constantly suggests them. Also, the stock 10 round Glock mags are a b*tch to load the last few rounds which is why some people prefer the higher capacity mags that are pinned to 10.

If you have jr crapine in 45 mags are least of your worries.

The kci 10/26 I have would not hold 10.

As others have said mag loaders will help your fingers.
