How tight to too tight...

I got a new stag lower and a new RRA Upper and have put them together.. But the pins are really tight I can get the back pin under good pressure but I can't get it out without help.. is this too tight?

Will the upper wear a little or does it need a little help..

It'll get better with time. It's certainly not a bad thing.

is it safe to use a small rubber hammer? Or not? do you need to put any lube on the pins? Or leave as is?

use the ruber hammer if you must. the rifle will get loose over time anyways.

Both my pivot pin and my takedown pin are really tight. I gently use a punch and a 8 oz. hammer to drive them out. I have noticed that they are getting easier to remove. My upper/lower fitting is really tight too.

I think too tight is when you see metal shavings every time you take it apart and put it back together.

I feel much better.. With a touch of CLP the pins can be removed with the slightest of pressure.. I've never owned a NEW ar so I had to ask... Last thing I wanted was stress fractures on the upper...
