I have no idea why I wanted one of these....I'm sure I'm not the only one out there

you only live once....
I decided on the 9.3 b/c I can't stand heavy rifles....I'm sure if I was going to Africa and shooting a 450 NE, things would be different...but I'm not. I was lucky enough to be able to handle several double a few years ago (thanks to a great CGN member that I phoned up out of the blue...he invited me right over, scotch in hand

). I decided right there, that I liked the lighter weight of the 9.3's, 375's/460's where just not what I was looking for....now. looking at the weight of this one, I might be in for a awakening when i pull the trigger, but we'll see....she's for carrying and hunting, not shooing thousands of rounds through. so, how's it feel compared to a 15000$ double....I don't know, I can't remember.....but it feels good, locks up tight, swings really nice...it comes up and the sights are right there.....even came with a scope mount....I might try that for regulating. Anyway, I'll post back when I've gotten to the range.....I ended up going for the FAIR b/c I found it used, $ was right.....I got scared off from the Sabattis, I was close to ordering a Chapuis, but I really didn't like the look of the fore end, I wanted more of a splinter style, I was close to ordering the Merkel...but just more $ then I wanted to spend....Anyway, you only live once and I'm pretty tickled for far
