14” with a fixed mod choke would be tough combination to beat, I’m not really a fixed choke fan but that would be perfect.Police 14” barrels came in Mod or Cyl fixed choke. 18 and 20” were/are IC or Cyl.

That would be my preference as well. I only have one 14” Police barrel and it’s Cyl. I plan on eventually sending it to TacOrd for the VangComp treatment.14” with a fixed mod choke would be tough combination to beat, I’m not really a fixed choke fan but that would be perfect.
They were certainly were less common but Remington always offered the Police in both blued and parkerized finish. No idea about RemArms.
When I purchased mine, the blued 14" Police barrels were only availabe with the ramped beadfront sight or tritium front sight. The parkerized 14" Police barrels were available in ramped bead front, tritium front, lo-pro rifle sights, lo-pro tritium rifle sights, and regular rifle sights. I brought it some of each type and finish except for the regular rifle sight version.Ramped beads and all!? Do they also have choke tubes?
A Police Marine 14" is the only 870 I am still itching for. I still kick myself because I had a very rare chance to buy a new factory 14" Police Marine (Mod choke) barrel but turned it done back around 2016. I don't recall the price, but it was very $$$. This is as close as I have come:I contacted RemArms at the beginning of the year .... and they sent me an Excel file with all their law enforcement offerings.
Unfortunately no more polished and blued 870 Police ..... they are now all parkerized with one exception .... RemArms is still offering the 870 Police Marine with nickel plating ....
I'll assume you're a Vangcomp convert, talk to me about it. How much of a real benefit is it?All my 870 police magnums I sent to Tactical Ordanance to avoid any headaches or failures, Casey did a nice restoration on my classic wing master also which was very abused by the former owner
