How to check a rifle without scope

Surely a dumb question but I have no experience with scoped rifle, imagine a guy who did not have much money and who purchased a brand new 700 SPS Tactical but without a scope for the moment, how he can check the accuracy of his rifle? Any tricks? Guns stands? Any help would be greatly appreciate.

You'll need some sort of an aiming device and the more precise, the more accuracy you will extract.

It is not a dumb question at all, and buying your gun in bits and pieces is perfectly fine in my book. Far better than blowing your wad on a cheap piece of crap just because it included a scope.

Think about a bipod or a shooting rest for when you get up and running, and don't skimp on a cheap rear bag. A good heavy smooth rear bag makes a HUGE amount of difference.
