How to choose a magazine?

I am completely new to the semi auto rifle thing. I have just bought a NR semiauto and am trying to learn and understand what extra magazines to buy for it. A friend and I picked up a couple WK180C and will be solely using them for calling/hunting coyotes. There will not be any extended range time. Recommendations please.
