This video not only is a good review of the Magpul shotgun stock system, but at 2:32 shows a helpful method on how to set your shotguns Length Of Pull for optimal effectiveness.

Lol! ^^^ You are one of the few, yes. I'm a big fan personally.
The feel, function and quality override the unconventional look IMO.

Interesting Video but am I the only one that thinks those magpul stocks are hideous ? Just doesn't look right .

I thought that too, but seems to be growing on me. Haven't found a bad review on these stocks, supposed to have excellent ergonomics.

It was trial and error for me.

Original stock was about 14.25" LOP - felt alright but thought it looked awful on my 14"

I bought the 12" Hogue which looked great on my shorty, but felt awkward - like my nose was going to take a hit from the recoil and lost my cheek weld.

Bought a Choate pistol grip stock, 13.25" without the 2 spacers - perfect, looks badass and tamed recoil significantly (unsure why).

Bought an ATI Talon 6 position M4 stock, didn't even open the box. Choate felt perfect. Guy on EE bought it and loves it.

Winner, Choate Pistol Grip Stock, $70 US + $30 shipping from Brownells.

Nothing pretty about it, but it feels good. Same stock they put on the tactical Mossberg 930 SA's.

I run a 12" Hogue, which I find ok to shoot from a bladed stance, its maybe an inch short of optimum for that, but OTOH is still a bit too long to shoot comfortable from the more tactically recommended squared up stance.

Another thing to consider is the effective reach to the fore end on pump guns.

Unless maybe you've got really long arms or are running an extra long fore end, reducing the reach via shorter stock is probably going to help you if you have to run the action at speed.

My 11-87P and 870P are almost identical size. However, with the semi I am able to grip further back of the foregrip, making the shogun feel smaller. The 870, my left arm is out there making the gun feel longer and more uncomfortable. I am looking at both the Hogue and Magpul to help out this situation. I watched a video with some guy reviewing the Magpul, and he said he liked it, until it started to rain and he was losing front grip. Anyone here experience this?

The Magpul stock is excellent, but I prefer a pistol grip on a tactical style shotgun, as among other reasons I don't like having my shooting hand up next to my face when running a short LOP.

There's also no conventional style stock available that can be adjusted for length "on-the-fly", that I'm aware of.

I don't like how the Magpul front looks, or feels - on a 12 1/2 inch gun the Magpul front is problematic - there are better solutions..

Hmmm, I've never encountered any reason to be concerned with my grip on the MOE forend. I always wear shooting gloves though...

The grip is OK, but slinging the front end is pretty much not happening, and getting crap between the hand guard and the barrel lug can leave you dead in the water. Murphy's law applies, but remember, Murphy was an optimist.

What about an MLok QD attachment?
