How to determine used handgun sell pricing

Your profile just says "Ontario"

if you are in/near a major city you may want to update to include that

My pref is always face to face, if possible. no shipping, you can hold it before you buy it etc.

you may want to also consider handling the shipping as well. im sure im not the only one who passes on shipping is on the buyer ads,no matter how it is priced or what site it is being sold on.

Real life answer is simply and demand also price of new. I see prices fluctuate all the time. You can't say 75% of the new gun and call it a day. It depends on the make and model and availability of both new and used market

Thanks for everyones suggestions, will get them listed next week when I have time, now just have to figure out this whole shipping issue when I sell them. Locked trigger, in a locked case? Where do I put the key?? I see they don't make it easy, a face to face sale may in fact be easier it it happens.

Don,t matter where you put the key, as long as the lock is on, one of those 2oo ones tape the hi end "key" to the receipt or box cover
As you are a new guy you may not be able to post pictures yet?
Shipping is up to you, simple would be to including shipping, sign. requires with tracking, no insurance , but I always insure, as you are the shipper, not the buyer,So?
As far as pricing, that depends on what ity is , you never said.
Your gun, up to you to figure that out

I always use a screw down trigger lock and combo travel lock on the case. Most have the universal screw down key. Total expense is less than 10. Shipping is cheap so I include. It is just going to get negotiated into the price anyway. I usually leave insurance to the buyer, but make sure not to forget the signature requirement. From some of the guys i’ve talked to at CP, they think insurance is useless (so many specific conditions to be met) but the signature requirement is almost a guarantee it will arrive.

Without knowing what you are selling, the advice in the thread may or may not be useful but good luck.

Thanks, I haven't sold anything here so a zero feedback, however I have a 100% score on ebay with 86 transactions. Was wondering if that would be an issue?

yes it would be an issue. Why would I wire money into the blue? I would only buy if I meet and pick up the part. You also have 16 posts here so there is no way to judge you

I absolutely pass on these ads as well. It's too much of a headache etc to try and sort out payments with shipping etc. It is also simply lazy to do this. I just go on Canada post website, put in a conservative package dimensions and weight, and then include that in a "shipped" price for the people looking. Simply the easiest and most hassle free way.

It's not a big deal either way for me. Most people who have bought and sold a few guns know what shipping is going to cost and can factor that in. It's certainly not that hard to do.

In fact, I often like +shipping because if the price is close to what I want to pay, I can just counter offer with their asking price but with shipping included. YMMV.
