How To Find Milsurp Stats?

Just curious......if someone wanted to find out an aproximate idea of how many Mauser K-98's there were in Canada these days (or even how many were in "the Registry" ) , what would be some ways of going about it?

Start getting creative with your search terms and inflate for however many you think are out there that are unregistered. Or improperly registered to the point of not being able to find it in a search.

I'm sure there's probably a better way though.

Unfortunately , that site is more of a "locator" - it only gives a maximum of 200 "hits" per model , no matter how wide or narrow a search you commence....

Ideas?

Ah, true enough. Obviously I have not attempted what you are doing on such a grand scale. But now we know there are atleast 200.

I noticed your other topic about contacting someone at the CFC and that is probably the only chance you've got. Good luck.

And why are you wondering anyway.. sitting on a gigantic pile of 8mm Mauser and not sharing?

It's like the fellow who contacted Jane's to find out how many craft were in the Royal Navy, and how large they were - he wanted to get an estimate for a paint-job!
