I don't have prohib status, but I want a Walther PPK. Is there any way I can get a new one with an extended barrel? Can I buy the parts from Marstar and have them install an extended barrel on one of their frames and make it restricted? Where can I buy the barrel? I'm guessng somewhere from the states.

Thanks!

yes, a PPK can be re-verified /w a new non prohib barrel, i've seen a few that's come and gone thru the Exchange forums here..

one that i remember seeing, it was stated the barrel conversion was done by Dlask...

I'am looking for one to. The best bet is too keep an eye out for one that has already been converted to Restricted or if you can find one made before 1946 as stated above.

I'll take a blasphemous long barreled PPK over not having one at all. Besides get the long barrel threaded and then make a fake supressor, it would look alot better then.

Of course you ARE kidding??? The cool factor on a Walther PPK comes from it's classic lines...

It is a pity to remove a PPK from the 12(6) category, as it can never go back again.

Why not import a NEW one from the States with an extended barrel? The barrel will look wierd but if you have to, you have to. Try Questar maybe?

It's also a pity that most of the population in this great "equal opportunity" country of ours has been removed from the 12(6) category.
Carry on Guys and good luck to you...I love mine.

No I'am not kidding. I agree with you about the classic lines and that the long barrel is completely ugly, but the point is that you can't see the ugly barrel when you are firing it and that is what I want to do with it.

Get the paperwork ready, buy one in the US, have a longer barrel installed there and then it can be shipped to you. Might cost you around 1200$. Other option (cheaper) is to buy a 12(6) with a longer barrel as others explained.

well, let's wait until the CPC gets done with the re-make of the FA. Their promise is to rollback laws to pre-C68, i.e. pre-12(6).

You carve out those grips yourself? ;) :)

I've had PPK's, they can be surprisingly accurate and a lot of fun. But if you have chubby hands, they will cut you.

I am 12(6) and even tho' I benefit from the generally lower prices on 12(6) guns, I'd rather see these out and being used.

If you can find one, you'll probably be happier with a PP and an extended barrel. Or even a US spec PPKS. The roomier grip makes it more pleasant.

I like all these "oh please do not remove a PPK from 12(6) pool, blablabla"... yeah cry me a river. If this is really a concern to you guys, why dont you buy every single 12(6) in Canada. Problem solved. They're dirt cheap, most 12(6) owners cant find buyers for their beaten PPK.
