I have old Lee Enfield 303 and wasn't too happy with trigger being too heavy and sticky. Sooo, naturally I take bolt out and take some metal off the ridge that trigger slides on ( I don't know what would it be called). At that point I thought its a good idea, change the angle a little bit and polish it and everything should be nice and smooth. Right? If angle is steeper than trigger should slide with less effort. Well, it does, trust me, but the trouble is - bolt only goes to the first click, not all the way down and I think rifle will not fire the way it is now.

Now, I wonder what would be the right way to fix sticky and heavy trigger? I mean, since I screwed it up already I may as well ask you what did
I do wrong.

And how to take stock off the rifle, I coeldn;t figure that out

Your post indicates you have altered the trigger group of a firearm without knowing what you are doing. This can easily have deadly consequences. Deactivate the gun or take it to a qualified gunsmith.

Sounds as if you altered the cocking piece - the part at the rear of the bolt that snaps foreward. In particular, you altered the foreward end of the bar that extends foreward. Correct? You will need a new cocking piece. There is no easy way to fix what you have done, other than replace the part.
There are ways of improving Lee Enfield trigger pulls, but what you did isn't one of them.
Better take the rifle to a gunsmith.

These triggers are very easy to tune. Do a search on the web for info, lots out there. You may need some new parts at this point and you do need a special tool to get the firing pin out and change the cocking piece.

once you have taken your enfield to a licened smith with expierience in enfields to fix the cocking piece and make the rifle safe for use again, you can remove the trigger from the trigger group and POLISH the 2 little bumps that make contact with the sear, REMEBER you only want to polish not remove metal, this should take some if not a bit of the harshness out of the pull anything else should be left to somone with alot of a expierience with enfields and carrys a good liability insurance coverage as these kinds of mods can have severe and fatel outcomes if doen incorrectly.
\so beyond POLISHING the existing metal seek services of a certified gunsmith
