How to loosen loctite screws

I recently bought a Midland 30:06 with scope mounts and want to remove them. They are in there tight making me think loctite was used. Any ideas on how to loosen them? Thanks in advance, I have been a lurker for a couple of years and this is my first post.

Heat... a little less than required for soft solder to flow... and correct fitting screw drivers...

I use a 1500 watts hair drier work good... JP.

Use a soldering iron to melt the loc-tite. Then using close fitting screw driver to loosen the screw before the loc-tite cools down again.

I use penetrating oil....the one they sell at Home Hardware. Krown 53 I think it is.
Spray. Wait 20 min. Loosen.

I agree, soldering iron works the best. Puts the heat directly on the screw and not on any surrounding parts.

WD40 is another penetrating oil that works but I never have the patience to let it soak in and usually end up using heat...
