Here's what I've done:
Supplies:
"1lb" coffee can (w/ plastic lid) [main holder]
10oz soup can [burner]
14oz veg can [snuffer]
19oz tomato can [pot]
tin snips [cutters]
pliers [benders]
file [smoother]
methyl hydrate [fuel]
honey [snack, er, smoke stuff]
cut the soup can off half-way up - recycle the top and bend over edges on the bottom (assuming you opened the soup can from the top and ate the soup already - this goes for all the cans actually)
cut the veggie can off 1/3 up from the bottom - recycle and bend as above
do the same with the tomatoe can as the veggie can
cut inverted v-notches (chevrons) in the coffee can (base of the triangle is not cut and is 3/4" up from the bottom) - make lots of them and they should be tall (or long) enough so when you fold them in they hold the soup can centered inside the coffee can - you should be able to slip the veggie can over the soup can without hinderance.
cut more chevrons in the coffee can higher up and long enough so that when the triangles of coffee can are bent inwards the tomatoe can will sit on them (centered inside the coffee can) about 7/32" above the soup can.
smooth the sharp edges with the file
you should be able to nest everything and put the lid on the coffee can still.
use:
put some honey in the tomatoe can
fill the soup can with methyl hydrate, place in position in the coffee can, and light with a long ### (you can cut another hole in the side of the coffee tin for this purpose).
put the tomatoe can in place
the honey will boil, then smoke, then burn and smoke - yum yum
(note, you may need to refill the burner with fuel before your honey is done)
*Don't add more fuel until the flame is completely out and the soup can cool - a methyl hydrate flame can be hard to see and the stuff ignites very easily.
*Don't tip it over - burning liquid fuel in the bush would not be good...
