I was recently given 3 sxs shotguns to get rid of. One is a J.W. Tolley in pristine condition. It is hammerless with 25" barrels and ejectors. It is marked as a 2 1/2 " chamber. I was told that it has been opened to 2 3/4". I'm thinking of keeping it for myself because I've never had a shotgun fit so good. If I keep it, I have 2 1/2 inch shells so it is no problem but if I decide to sell it I would like to be able to say with confidence that it is 2 3/4". Is there a way to tell for sure where the chamber ends and forcing cone starts.
Thanks
Neil
