Hey guys,

Looking to order a bunch of parts from brownells and wondering how it works? seems like there are permits involved but I see lots of members on here ordering, is there something I dont know?

I would buy from sponsors here but they dont have what I am looking for and I dont want to wait 3 months and pay double

thanks

I have ordered a couple / three times a year for quite a while - I find them to be very helpful. Mostly taps, dies, tools, sights, etc. There might be dollar limits to amount that can go without permits but my orders are usually less than $300. I did order one item, a safety for a mauser, I believe, for which Brownell's sent me an end user statement to fill out before they could send it - I recall that was their state department / homeland security that required it to allow them to send it, not for me to receive it. They are fully licensed for export under USA rules, and they seem very knowledgable about how to make it work. They are literally a phone call away.
As far as "wait three months and pay double", my last order got from them to Canada Customs in three days, and has been at Canada Customs for more than a week, now. Do not chose UPS or courier or you truly will pay "double" - to the courier for their "brokerage fees". Mail Innovations is the choice I use - they courier it to Canada Customs, then Canada Post to me. About one out of three times I get to pay PST, GST and Canada Post 9.95 fee to Canada Post to get my package - the other two times it comes through at no extra cost. Go figure...

Thanks for the info guys,

When I meant wait 3 months and pay double I was referring to one of our sponsors. Id rather order from brownells and get it quick

+1 I never called her but she sends out all the Emails and forms when I order, and its pretty straight forward, just fill out the "end user statement" she sends you a day or so after you order

She is available for questions and help but you have to ask for her specifically anyone else is not quite that good..

Great selection and there is a sticker on how to do so. If you are current serving or veteran they recognize Canadian military for their military discount which is a considerable savings on some items. Only thing is my last order (which was my first order ever) shipped Feb 15th and it just cleared Canadian customs today. Nothing to do with Brownells but if you need your parts in a timely fashion I would look Canadian side. Over a month to shop to my door is a bit ridiculous but hey maybe my package was put in the trainees pile at customs or fell through some crack some where. But they had exactly what I was looking for for a good price. Give er a go bud

I placed an order around Christmas.
Even with 2 or 3 days at customs, it took a penny under a week and a half. Blew my mind how quick.

Remember to check off the "Canada" or what ever it is called filter option on the left when your searching for stuff. It will remove the stuff that can't easily come across the boarder (parts, whole guns, etc that require the fancy export permits that irungunz does for example)
