For 3 gun how do you practice loading your shotgun at home, by that I mean 100% safe where you will not accidentally fire off a shot?
Is there special dummy shells? Make your own from used shells??

Buy some good dummy rounds.

Never "practice" or test with live rounds.

You can make some out of an old empty shell and some washers (for weight) sealing it with hot glue.

But a proper dummy round set is a better option.

I was looking online for snap caps but can only find them in amazon and canadian tire and they all have bad reviews. I do like the washers in a spend shell suggestion

Just make sure you mark them well.

It should. Be obvious they are the dummy rounds.

AND never store them with your live ammo.

I would strongly suggest AGAINST the red snapcaps. I had a terrible time trying to cycle them through several (different aged) Wingmasters. Would not eject, would not load...
I ended up giving them away when I sold the shotguns.

I too have found those aluminum body red snap caps a little wanting.

In 22 Hornet the bullet profile give too wide to fit inside the chamber my Browning rifle.
Perhaps because they are inert the machinist specs were not too SAAMI standards?
