how to pronounce the following

Sabot-------------------sah-BOW
Heckler & Koch--------HECK-ler and ####
Sako--------------------SAH-ko

And further...

Leupold----------------LOO-pold, not fricken Leopold
Franchi-----------------Frankie
Mauser-----------------MOW-zer though commonly accepted as MAH-zer
Garand-----------------gah-RAND

I'll take a stab at it..not saying I'm correct but it should be interesting

Sabo...as in "ah heck" and "rainbow"

Heckler and Coke....as in Coca-Cola

Socko as in "socko salmon"...most people say Sack-oooo

how am I doing so far :?: :? :D

My usual pronunciations for these are:

1 "sahboh"

2 "heckler & kotch" (despite the fact that German speakers say it deep in their throats almost as "####" or "coke")

3 "sahko"

Ya, what would the Germans know about saying German last names?

Here is the way I pronounce them

1-Sabot
2-Heckler & koch
3-Sako

Sabot: I actually pronounce this one as I see it...SAH bot(ya I know it is wrong)
Heckler und Koch: HECK Lah oond Kockh <--try figuring that one out, mix the "ck" with an "h"
Sako: I pronounce it SAY-koh

Leupold----------------LOO-pold, not fricken Leopold
Franchi-----------------Frankie
Mauser-----------------MOW-zer though commonly accepted as MAH-zer
Garand-----------------gah-RAND

Leupold... LAY pold... for me...like the way the french would pronounce it
Franchi...FRON shee
Mauser...MOW zah
garand...same as above
