How to properly break in barrel of new rifle?

I break in my barrels. I shoot 20-30 round at the range to sight in and check some groups. Then when I get home I clean it cuz its broke in. The more shooting I do the better.

None of this "run the brush both ways 8 million times and do a rain dance to the gods of accuracy" stuff that some break in procedures call for.

The dance only works when performed by naked virgins and is thus not possible in cooler parts of the country not populated by, swift running single child, families.
