How to put a flashlight on sks with wood stock

What is the average age of an SKS shooter ?

I'm old, not cash challenged and there are three SKS's in my gun locker.

I'm not "old" - mid 40's - and not cash strapped. I have some expensive rifles. I also have a pair of SKS's in my cabinet - one to tinker with, and one to keep original.

I see no reason for any shooter, of any age, not to do the same. It's a solid, reliable platform, shoots a good cartridge, and is accurate enough for what it is.

Anytime I see the SKS haters, I kinda have to shake my head. Yah, there are d-bags with SKS's. But one of the main reasons I avoided AR's was the quantity of d-bags with AR's.

Finally got past that and bought an AR, because I'm not going to let other people's stupidity with a given rifle interfere with me enjoying one for what it is.

To the OP: Not my thing, so don't have any experience with it. But you can get a gas-tube replacement that has a weaver rail built in, there are a couple of different types:

Marstar isn't the only one that carries them, so shop around.

Then use an offset flashlight mount, so the flashlight doesn't get in the way of your sights:

Again, shop around, Marstar isn't the only one that carries them. I just posted those links because they were the first that came up from a google search, and Marstar is a site sponsor.

Is this guy air guitaring that sks? making toast and has the ABBA going on that radio?

LoL... He's a Kiwi redneck, so who knows what kind of crappy music he's into? He uses a fold down ironing board and a lawn chair as a benchrest rig. Redneck be redneck the world over, wear it with pride.

I've seen a couple of his vids, link surfing through YouTube gun pron. He's a good shot in general, and likes to show off his toys. And the wonderful fact that suppressors are not only legal in New Zealand, but strongly recommended.
