I figured this might be the best place for this question:

Does anyone have any opinion on the best glue/adhesive for gluing an antler back onto a deer skull? It has broken away from it's base and is intact, but I'm not sure how best to reattach it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Since bone is porous a good epoxy should work well, adding a small dowel would help for strength but probably wouldn't be needed.

I'd call a reputable taxidermist and get the idea how they make one or two sides
come off for gaining home entry with a big moose or such.
I know it's done, just not sure the procedure.

I have a set of champion sire bull's horns of my grandfathers. The someone who sleeps on the other side of the bed pushed on them somehow, and one horn broke loose. The taxidermy shot buttered the stub with Bondo and reattached the outer shell. Still good.

There has to be more to this story....were they in bed?..., or hanging just above the headboard?....do tell please!
