HOW to remove forend on Moss 500

i know how to completely dissemble everything in the reciever and how to take the forend w slider out, how do i get the forend off the sliders?

Just found that out the other day, you need to take the magazine tube off, its not hard to do.

no, i have the slider out of the reciever, its in my hands now. i want the damn slide rails off.

but on a side note, lol, how do you take the mag tube outta the reciever. lol

EDIT, lol it just threads out. i though it was soldered in for some reason.. i remember hearing that somewher..

haha, its simply threaded, so just twist it off, it might be stiff.

I'm not exactly sure what you want, but if you want the wood forend off of the sliders there is a circular threaded dealio on the front that you need to unscrew. Then just pull/hammer/push the wood forward.

You need a wrench to remove the nut without any damage.

goto ww w.brownells.com and do a search of "MOSSBERG FOREND WRENCH" You will see the tool and can click onto the instructions and may be able to make the tool. Also to remove the magazine you can use a rubber or plasticy strap wrench, don't use the visegrips, you will probably collapse the tube. If you you are unable to make it , try any of the supporters at the top of this page to see if they have one in stock.

i ended up being able to simply twist it off by simple hand pressure... and i am definately ordering that tool...
