How to remove rosewood end caps?

I have a stock here that has a damaged end cap... It is rosewood... I have another stock here i bought at the eganville gun show that is busted in half but the rosewood is in amazing shape... I need to no how to remove the end cap and pistol grip cap so i can replace on to my other stock and refinish it! Any and all advice will be gretly appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

You are almost certainly going to be using a saw for this project. The caps will be epoxied and possibly have dowels holding them on. Unless the stocks are exactly the same there will be quite a bit of fitting to be done anyway.

I'd try a fine scroll saw if there is any curvature or just zip them off with a band saw.

Thanks... The stocks are both excactly the same Parker Hale 1200 super clip... Appreciate the info on removal...
