How to remove the magazine tube form a cooey 60

So I have an old Cooey 60 repeater that I am going to be working on, it's in pretty rough shape, and was planing on getting all the rust off. I'm curious to know if the magazine tube can come off the receiver or if it is a permanent fixture. ? If the magazine tube does come off how do I do it?

My plan is to redo the entire gun and re-blue as there is a lot of rust and the original bluing is almost gone.
Any help would be appreciated.

the stud that holds the stock onto the barrel also acts as the mag tube retainer. Loosen the nut and the tube should easily come loose from the bolt.
