How to rotate apertures in carry-handle peep

Hi again,

I'm just learning about my new Stag 4R, and here's the first question. The iron peepsight in the carry-handle has two options ... a small aperture and a larger aperture. They're at 90 degrees to each other on a common bracket that "appears" that it should pivot 90 degrees on its small axle to switch back and forth between to two apertures.

However, even about 40 pounds of thumb pressure will not rotate it. Is it just really stiff, or is there some kind of release that I haven't been able to locate? The owner's manual doesn't mention anything helpful.

Thanks.

Boomer.

Gentle tap

Thanks guys. It was already well-oiled so I just put the tip of a wooden-spoon handle on it and tapped it with a small breadboard. Presto!

(Obviously doing my work on the kitchen table... :)

My old eyes were having a helluva time trying to do the recommended 25 meter sighting-in with that smaller aperture. I believe that the brighter larger aperture will be the default iron-sight setting ... anything small or way-out-there should probably be (for me) an optics situation anyway.
