How To Set Up Hardcases For Multiple Handguns?

Hey all.

I have one of the big and one of the small Princess Auto hardcases that were on sale in the spring. Looking to set them up to carry a large assortment of hand guns. Don't want to cut into the foam a space that only fits one model of gun.

Anyone done this care to post some pictures of their set up?
 
I haven't done it, but I would imagine just cutting generically sized "L" shaped holes in the foam would suffice to lay them flat. Might be some play in terms of fit, but I can't imagine it being a problem. Or cut slots to store them vertically if the case has enough room.
 
I can fit 3 full size autos, a 7.5" blackhawk and a 10.5" AR with RDS in the big case.

I didn't cut the foam, just place the AR(Broken in 2 obviously) on the first layer, put the 2nd layer of foam on top of that and then the 4 pistols vertically in the case, every think is snug and covered both sides with foam.

Thank you for asking this. I have a case as well, that I have been waiting for a good guide (or at least some detailed photos) setting up pistols in an upright position. I'll probably just wing it, but it's always nice to benefit from other peoples experience and hopefully avoid making a big mess.
 
PA smaller case; could have fit 4, but lots of room for 3, along with extra mags stored in the dead space underneath the visible foam layer.

This setting look like the best option, i'm looking for the same setup to carry more than 2 pistols in a hard case. (Maybe 4 or 5). Cutting the foam rhis way would allow a lot of model to fit in the space. I'm wondering if this setup would work to store pistol at home too?

I tried Silica pouches once. Seemed to attract moisture rather than eliminate it. Stopped using them.

I store my HGs in their foam lined transportation cases, BUT, I take them out once a month to inspect them and wipe them down with an oily rag.
