How to ship ammo?

I am interested in buying a box of ammunition from someone on the EE. He lives on Ontario (I live in Vancouver) and said I should arrange shipping.

I have not shipped ammo before. I had a look on the Canadapost website and they do not allow it.

I would appreciate any advice as to the best legal way to ship ammo.
 
DHL has always worked well for me, particularly for amounts over 70 lbs, no matter where it's going. Tell them what it is and find out what they'd like on the label.

Canpar in this neck of the woods (Nova Scotia) has proved too much of a pain to deal with even if when I've managed to talk them into it, although folks in other provinces have reported good results with them.
