how to stiffen forestock

if i understood right , i need to epoxy the rod in place in the fore stock , then bed with arca glass, or devcon in the barell channel to keep it in place

I have a savage Lh 22-250 with the tupperware stock. I took a length of key stock 3/8" square, threaded a hole for the sling swivel, dremmelled a channel for the keystock, laid it in, threaded the swivel stud in, then covered the whole fore stock with accuglass. Just enough to cover the key stock. You still have lots of room between the barrel and the key stock. what a difference in stiffness. total cost was 12.00( i had some left over accuglass from another project)

Anyone have pics of this? I have a Savage to fix up and I'd like to get a look at what other folks have done (just to make sure I don't pooch it )
