Russian Captures
Usually an "X" on the top or left side of the receiver.
Nazi Proof marks may or may not be peened/defaced
Stock will have shellac
Stock takedown disc will be blued or painted black
Butt Plate will be blued or painted black
Almost all stamped serial numbers except the barrel/receiver/rear site base will be miss-matched
Bolt components will be miss-matched but the bolt will be EP'd to match the rifle
Magazine floor plate will also be EP'd to match the rifle
Trigger guard will also be EP'd to match the rifle
Generally you will be missing capture screws/cleaning rod and site hood
Generally the rifle will me a matte 'dip blue' not a high lustre blue
Stock will be forced matched to the rifle - stamped on the left side of the butt
There are general findings on most RC's - however there are always exceptions to the rule.
