Also... obviously the advantage of a piston gun is a cleaner bcg but does a di gun hinder a left handed shooter at all?

They aren't cleaner, they simply get dirty in a different spot. Piston guns cost more, have more parts, weigh more and have their own problems such as carrier tilt. A DI gun is more than capable of going thousands of rounds without cleaning.

not to mention that if its a piston conversion, gas port at barrel is too big thus you see bent piston rod all the time. So unless its a factory piston gun, with a piston sized barrel, walk away.

Absolutely! Conversions are more like abortions..

Really don't see advantage of piston gun in AR especially for what we use them for . At the range. DI will be more future proof

No issues whatsoever with DI as a lefty, no reason to go piston. My next purchase will be a Stag Arms LH AR, not because I need one, just because I want one

Piston guns tend to be muzzle heavy too, some to the point that the balance of the gun is completely wrong - Ruger SR for example. Overall weight suffers too.
