recently got my hands on a xcr 223 tiger stripe.............. I was doing some work for a guy who came up a few bucks short on payment so i took the gun instead of cash, its is like new got two different stocks and 3pmags it also has a Nikon 223 scope mounted as well not to shabby for 1300 bucks . not big into black guns ,just need to know how old it is cause he was the second owner and wasn't sure.
can anyone help?

Im sure someone here will chime in with all the details but I do believe the Tiger Stripe modle is a newer model making a Revision G or H. If it came with a fast stock that also has the matching Tiger Stripe theme then its atleast a Revision G meaning its a newer model with ambi mag release and two stage trigger so your laughing.

First off no matter what the age you got a good deal.

Not too sure on the tiger stripes but first you can look at the rails, if there is a "line" milled down the middle of them it's an older model, pre revision G.

Does it have an ambi safety and bolt release? If not that dates it to a earlier gen yet.

Finally serial blocks are pretty good ways to tell, don't think RA skipped any serials and they're pretty well consecutive. Earlier serial = earlier gun of course, the "G" revision I had was in the 7000 block if memory serves.

Hope that helps.

Join the xcr forum and put the first few digits of the serial number in a thread asking what generation it is.

Or alternatively email wolverine with your serial number, they will know.

I just discovered mine is a first gen, but it works flawlessly!

Integrated trigger guard was introduced 2 years ago, and that was about the same time first of the tiger, stripes start to show up in Canada.
