Here's a rig for all you SMD owners :)

Yup, because it would be illegal if you had clothes on.... :D

Buck naked is almost as effective as buck shot for making people think twice about messing with you!

Buy skin-tight disco pants and slide it down toward your crotch.
No one will mess with you when they see your "package". :D

I liked the Andrews Leather one, but wanted to support local business, plus the Andrews one has a 8 month+ waiting list, and I had no need for the handgun part. I got in contact with my local leather dude, took him some pic's of what I wanted, and heres the result:

He's been in the leather business since 1974, normally builds custom saddles, but said he was up for the challenge, it turned out really nice, it spans the weight over the shoulders very well, and will make for an excellent hiking companion, he said he had a lot of fun making it, and would be into making some more, I think he was excited as I was. Not sure if I'm allowed to post links that arn't sponsors though. If anyones interested I'll ask him if he minds me throwing his contact info up, so let me know.

Not sure if you noticed, but its even got a drop strap to keep it from hitting the ground if the buttons pop open, I picked the leather, but he said anything I wanted, the gun part and shell holder are backed with swede So it doesn't stick to the clothing while walking, but the shoulder rigs are not, there raw leather so they don't chaff the shoulders or slide off. And its completely adjustable to boot!

I asked for the shell holder to hold 9 shells (because the gun holds 3, empty chamber, and if I went with 10, that'd be 13, call me superstitious) And theres a rolled piece of leather at the back to keep them from working to far down and getting to hard to grip. All his idea's. He also "Knurrled" or rolled the shell holders to make them tight, but easy to remove. Took him just over a week, and he was working on a few saddles, so I'd say thats decent turn around time. As for price, well, it wasn't cheap, but I didn't go with cheap materials, I told him what I wanted to spend (same as the Andrews leather one, $250-$300) and he made it to match my price.

Edit: Took some pic's of the backside's of the sides:

What happens if you undo the front cross strap?

I really like the set up but would prefer to not have that strap...

Also how hard is it to lock the gun back into the locked carry position when you have the shoulder holster on?

I'm also curious what it cost you...

Overall a great looking rig...

Front strap isn't really a front strap, that was my mistake, it actually goes across the back a bit lower than the other back strap, to keep the rig from coming forward if you bend over (say to look at some tracks or such) So ya, ignore the front strap, my bad. I assembled it after the conditioner dried, and put it on wrong, my wife figured it out.

The guns easy to lock back in, you just lift it higher than the trigger guard, snap it in, and let it slide down into place, its snug, but that side is leather, so it slides just into place. And you can pump it in the rig if need be, I chose snaps over Velcro as to not scare a bear with the Velcro sound if I should come across one.

Cost was $300, but he said that was the first one, if i wanted another, it might be less, because now he has the pattern (I've got a friend with a Dlask 870, so I told him I may need another) He said he's got no problem making more.
