how would you like to shoot a revolver in .458 win mag or 600 NE?

Wow, a revolver with 4593 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, kind of makes my 500 S&W look like a 22LR, though with a price of $19,963.74 I will stick with the S&W.

This must be the "just before I got whacked in the head" shot.

Only a person who loves pain would shoot that monster :p
Considering a double rifle weighs more...I highly doubt their claim that no injury will be inflicted is true.

"Make my day!" Nothing quite like a 14 lb. revolver. Not even useful as a howda pistol. I wonder how many indoor ranges in Canada are equipped to handle either of the available rounds? On the other hand, one of those twilight muzzle flash photos would be just awesome with that handgun. As far as I can see, that's about all it's good for.

The wording is no "permanent damage". Temporary maybe.

A 1911 in .45acp comes back at you at 12 fps. The Pfeifer Zeliska comes bakc at 16 fps. Which doesn't sound so bad until you look at the foot-pounds of energy: 1911, 5.4. Pfeifer Zeliska, 52.5.

So the Pfeifer Zeliska recoils not even 50% faster than a 1911... it just keeps coming back at you for a lot longer :)

And no, I would not fire one. .50AE was as much as I ever want to experience.

I didn't think 50AE was bad (except for the torque) .223 is actually pleasant in a single shot, .308 is my limit for single shot (lots of lift and lots of push) - 454 is worse than all of them in the original factory loads. That monster (458/600) is ridiculous. What I did love about the 50AE was the sound the brass made when it hit the concrete apron.

The question I have is, "What's it for?" I suppose as an exercise in extreme gunsmithing it is an interesting piece, but when a handgun is more cumbersome than a similarly chambered rifle you gotta wonder what they are thinking.

I had a friend who shot a .444 rifle cartridge in a T/C once, one shot and he never ever tried it again. He said he couldn't feel either forearm for about 30 minutes after, everything below the elbow was numb.

My question is why would you want a handgun in such a big calibre? In Canada you can't hunt with it (or any other handgun) and it can't possibly be "fun" to shoot. My 629 is plenty big enough.
