How young for gophers?

We are having a hard time finding glasses to fit kids. Anyone out there that can help with some solid leads? I have checked on the net but most sites are out of the US and a 4 dollar pair of glasses would cost around 80 after shipping.

I have picked up a couple cases of small size safety glasses for my kids and all of our nieces and nephews. They were from a local safety supply company, they had them in stock, and ended up costing about 2 or 3 dollars a pair.

Oh, and I started hunting groundhogs by myself, when I was 6, single shot 22. Started my kids at about the same age but they weren't hunting alone.

One thing to get the kids familiar with guns is to let them carry a bb gun or something even if they are not shooting it. They become familiar and comfortable just holding it and it makes for much better gun handling in the future.

I started at 6, and was given my first 22 at 8. It would have been earlier but the hunting/shooting culture skipped a generation, so i had to wait until grandpa was around to take me out.

My wife, on the other hand, rode around in a baby backpack while her dad shot gophers. She must have retained something from that because she sure likes to light em up now. I doubt our kids will have a choice when they are born.
