That's awesome man and such a solid way to build memories. You will sit back one day and something will click when you are watching him when he is a young man and you will think to yourself - "I was a good dad".

Good for you two!

I have heaps of 22 cal 40-55gr bullets here, so this ARC will see a lot of light for caliber stuff

The 40gr Hornady Vmax is shooting pretty fair, only powder I have tried so far is Dominion 8208BR. Velocity is 3710 fps

Very awesome. How's the accuracy on that one?

I purchased one last June, only shot approx 3moa. Still waiting for a warranty replacement rifle. 😞

not yet, just been calling coyotes all winter. Will play with some this spring, likely 62 ELDvt, 69 ELDvt, 75 ELDm, 80 ELDx, 80 ELDm and 88gr TMK

I just purchased that same Howa rifle and was wondering how it shot bullets on the heavier side. I've also been following Hornady podcast and they sure praised the 62 ELD VT for coyotes and long distance shooting. Going to have and give those a try.

Only reason we are shooting 40 Vmax is my kid thought they were cool looking and I got a thousand of them. The 62gr ELDvt is probably the way to go for a 22 ARC coyote bullet!
