I have a whack of 100gr Bergers, he will shoot those over TrailBoss loads in the 1500 fps range and Daddy will shoot 123gr SST

Very nice rifle in a great cartridge. So far I’m enjoying the 123eldx, 129 accubond lr and the 130 at hybrid. Just picked up a second Grendel in a bolt action cz this week. Great target round and a great little deer rifle.

I’m loading with AR comp and h4895

Those mini actioned 6.5 grendels are making it awful hard to stick to my goal of going back to an iron sited rifle I don't reload for. I'll probably fold and pull out a scoped rifle for deer season but my bear hunt this fall will hopefully be with irons sites. If I find a rifle I like.

The 6.5 Grendel is a very useful cartridge and deserves to be more popular.

Nice piece of kit ! I love that round , so good for all around hunting unless your going for grizzly/polar bears or trying to headshot muskox

Picked up a Ruger American Ranch in that caliber. Loved the gun so much I called IRUNGUNZ and ordered the Predator model with the 22" barrel. But i was shooting at the range and another ex military guy showed up had the same rifle in .223. when he saw the differences in the calibers he started grilling me about it. I let slip I had ordered another one with the long bar....... why is he all of a sudden looking really hard at my rifle? He asked if this one was for sale , sale no trade maybe. Well now I have to wait another few weeeks till I get my new one and in the mean time i have a cg 63 in 6.5x55 ...:)

My Howa mini is proving to be a lot of fun.

I am not a fan of the factory stock and bottom metal. Replaced the bottom metal with a DIP unit, bedded the action. Th trigger from the factor was really heavy, even when turned down. Replaced the sear return spring and it fixed the issue.

So far 100TTSX and 95gr Vmax shoot very well, both over Benchmark. 120gr Barnes Matchburner not quite as good but showing potential with 8208XBR. Need to play with some other bullets. Starline brass, WSR primers. 100gr TTSX average 2690fps and will be my deer load this year. I have pushed them harder but accuracy falls off.

The 6mm ARC may beat it over long range for velocity but i still prefer the slightly larger bullet for deer hunting work.

Killed some rocks yesterday, 1225 fps with 7.3grs Trail Boss under the 100gr Berger. I shot some 123gr SST over AR Comp @ 2430 fps

Sweet rifle! And good shooting!

My oldest boy is still just using the Savage Rascal. We were out gopher hunting today for his 5th birthday and he managed to hit the grass... Lol.

hah. My son has only been shooting his Rascal until now. 80% of his rounds fired have been at imaginary T-Rex and Tigers downrange
