Howa Mini Action in .223 and .204

I know Prophet River carries a large inventory of Howa rifles. They can probably tell you who imports them and/or if the Mini Action rifles are on their way.

Going to try this one again instead of starting a new post: Has anyone seen the Howa Mini Action in Canada yet?
I'm specifically interested in the 223 REM with 22" barrel (base model).

No I have not seen any on the shelf. However Prophet river as stated above has access to all there models including the barrelled action when I have inquired before.

Apparently 6.5 grendel and 7.62x39 are new for this year.

First guy to make a 50 beowulf one should get a medal.

If the howa functions like the CZ at the Zastava price it will be hard not to buy one.

I liked my Zastava's internal mag but it had some serious rough edges.

Their mini action will be pretty close to a Rem 700 short action, maybe a bit longer... I'll have to measure my bolt. Not exactly "mini" lol.

Rem700 s/a bolt is about 6 3/8", so the mini Howa is about the same as a Model 7....

I like the concept, except the thinnest pencil barrel is 5.7 lbs. Tikka superlite is 5.9 lbs with a decent profile barrel that is 22", and a long action. Shouldn't this be lighter?

The ligjtweight barreled action is 3.77lbs....I guess it depends what stock you put on it.
Howa receivers are pretty big n heavy...

Howa makes the Mini in stainless, but I haven't seen it show up on Legacy Sport's website. I've seen it on the New Zealand forums though. I've been looking for a Sako L461 or AI in 223 REM, but these are the next best thing. I've been looking specifically for an action sized to the 223 REM round, and I'm not a fan of the other micro sized bolt actions out there.
Whittaker Guns in the USA has been selling these for awhile at $330 USD, so hopefully these come in around $600 CAD, but we'll see. I'm not sure if the Howa rifles in Canada are coming from Legacy Sports or directly from Howa in Japan, anyone have one to check (it'll be stamped Legacy Sports if that's who imported it)?

How much smaller are the M85 Zastava and CZ bolts?

Unimpressed if it is the same as model 7's short action unless that is only for the .223's.

I'm curious to see how small these actions really are myself. The CZ mini Mauser is a pretty small package and perfectly sized to the .223 round so how do these Howa actions compare?
