I recently bought a Howa mini action in 223, its a great rifle but the magazine's are not the best, has anyone had issues with feeding, and possible solutions since there isn't anything aftermarket for new mags .

I took the mags apart and stretched the spring out but it's not an ideal fix.

Just wondering of anyone has a better solution.

Push the rounds into the chamber? Do you mean push the rounds up high enough for the bolt to catch them and push them into the chamber?

Did stretching out the spring help?

Yes the rounds are not being pushed up enough to catch the bolt and feed into the chamber, I stretched out the spring and it helped , but it seems like a quick fix. Maybe I can replace the spring? Something a little more tension.

Do you notice a difference between rounds? Does the first round or two feed ok but it gets progressively worse the farther into the magazine you get?

If you hold the rifle upside down, does gravity allow the rounds to feed reliably?

This is what my Howa mini struggles with. First 2 rounds feed fine, the last 3 I have to push the magazine into the rifle as I work the bolt to pick the round up from the mag

Before I stretched out the spring, it was not feed any of the rounds. I had a lot of FTF , double feeds etcetera. Stretching the spring helped , I don't think there's much else I can do...
